Currently, we are able to see clients evenings and weekends in a variety of locations across West Central Scotland, with some daytime availability in Cumbernauld. Our locations are dedicated counselling rooms in Paisley, Glasgow and Cumbernauld.

Jenny and Gwen are experienced and qualified Person Centred Counsellors with additional training in other therapeutic approaches allowing us to work flexibly

to support you to make the changes you desire.

Person Centred Counselling offers a safe and supportive confidential space in which to explore the issues you face, to identify the changes you wish to make and to work towards making these and leading a more fulfilling life.

Person Centred Counselling can help you to:

  • Identify and explore your issues (in a safe and supportive relationship)

  • Identify the changes you wish to make in your life and to work towards making these and moving forward with your life

  • Understand yourself, your situation, thoughts, feelings and behaviours more fully

  • Improve your self-esteem and confidence

  • Identify your strengths, solutions to your problems and better ways of coping

  • Improve relationships

  • Lead a more fulfilling life

Where appropriate we will also integrate other therapeutic approaches and techniques such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, to best meet your individual needs.

Your counsellor will discuss this with you at your initial session.

Your initial session

At your initial session your counsellor will discuss with you your aims for counselling, identifying the issues which you wish to focus on in counselling.

Your counsellor will regularly review with you ensuring that you are still working together towards the changes you desire-the focus is on what you wish to explore and work on in counselling.

Your counsellor will usually see you either weekly or fortnightly depending on what best fit your needs-sessions last 50 minutes.

You can attend counselling for as many or as few sessions as you and your counsellor both feel helpful and as long as you both agree that counselling is beneficial – it’s about what works best for you.

We abide by the BACP Code of ethics and principles of practice for Counselling ensuring quality and safe practice.
